Our Dealer of the Week is: McDonald's Sewing & Vacuum in Arkansas City, KS!
Tell us about your shop:
"Patrick opened the store first as a used bookstore in 2002. Patrick and Dalene met when he was mayor and she was the public library director. We still have the bookstore, but since then have added vacuums and sewing machines. Dalene is still a full-time librarian and in addition teaches sewing, embroidery, and quilting classes at the store. We are gradually expanding our offerings. HoopSisters has provided us with a great new opportunity to help our students enjoy quilting and embroidery."
What do you love about what you do?
"We love helping our customers find the right book, vacuum, or sewing machine for their needs. We love it when people light up with new knowledge or understanding. We also love to see what they make with their sewing and embroidery machines."
Why do you love HoopSisters?
"I love the beautiful designs and the opportunity to learn new techniques. I also love that it is a quilt as you go quilt."
