The Single features cross stitching and the Double has the same beautiful cross stitching plus an open weave embroidery for the “double” (or second) chain element. Grandma’s doily quilting continues to grace the background. These QUICK to stitch EASY blocks are great as its own quilt, with the Doilies and Dresden Sampler (additional purchase required) or as a filler block or border on any quilt. Make a table or bed runner or add more blocks for a gorgeous quilt.
If you combine the Irish Chains with the rest of the Doilies and Dresden's Collection you can make a drop dead gorgeous Doilies and Dresden's Sampler Quilt!
Block Sizes Include: 5", 6", 7", 8" and 9"
Approximate Finish Size: Can be made any size. Fabric requirements provided for twin, full, queen and king size quilts for all block sizes. If making the Doilies and Dresden Sampler quilt, which requires additional purchases of complete Doilies & Dresden's set, then the finish sizes are:
5" blocks = 39" x 39"
6" blocks = 46" x 46"
7" blocks = 55" x 55"
8" blocks = 62" x 62"
9" blocks = 70" x 70"
