Description
This dramatic Dresden has curvy fan blades with sharp Priscilla like points in the corners. The center mirrors the Priscilla like points.  Open weave embroidery gives a mottled shading with thread.  Simple stem stitch quilting is between the fan blades with Grandma’s doily quilting in the background. The entire block appears to be floating on an Irish Chain. When four blocks are made for the full Dresden it makes the perfect pillow. Make more for a table or bed runner and even more for a gorgeous quilt. 

If you combine Dresden 5 with the rest of the Doilies and Dresden's Collection you can make a drop dead gorgeous Doilies and Dresden's Sampler Quilt! 

Block Sizes Include: 5", 6", 7", 8" and 9"

Approximate Finish Size: Can be made any size. Fabric requirements provided for twin, full, queen and king size quilts for all block sizes. If making the Doilies and Dresden Sampler quilt, which requires additional purchases of complete Doilies & Dresden's set, then the finish sizes are: 

5" blocks = 39" x 39" 

6" blocks = 46" x 46" 

7" blocks = 55" x 55"

8" blocks = 62" x 62" 

9" blocks = 70" x 70"
