    First Try

Posted by Irene Young on 26th Apr 2012

I had been away from sewing for some time. Mom was an avid quilter and although I did sew, I never felt I could compete with her expertise and wisdom for colors! When she passed away last year, I decided I wanted to continue her sewing legacy and bought a new Janome 12000 and hit the road running!! Returning to the machine was like riding a bicycle, but SOOOO much had changed!! My dealer (Super Stitch)told me about Hoopsisters, and I was hooked!!!!! I love sewing for others and my first Hoopsisters project was a table runner for one of my sisters. I used scraps from my old "stash" and created an AMAZING runner!!! It was so beautiful and EASY...I could not believe what I had created in only one day!! Mom would have been SOOO proud and a bit jealous because you can't tell the difference between my Hoopsisters runner and her painstaking pieced quilts!!! LOVIN' HOOPSISTERS !!!!

    Rewired Dresden

Posted by Sally Laidlaw on 25th Apr 2012

I bought this design to make a birthday table topper for my twin grand daughters...it was a huge hit...and gets used yearly and for the weekly kid tea party. Loved the design so much that I have made a quilt, and used one plate many times for a block of the month insert, a bag or just because. Love the product, and the results are spectacular.

    Easy Dresden Block

Posted by J. Weaver on 23rd Apr 2012

I purchased this product to do 23 dresden blocks for an exchange. I used tan batik for the back ground fabric, 4 different orange batiks for the petals and a chocolate brown batik for the center. The product was very easy to use and the blocks were beautiful.

A wonderful pattern and so easy. I did this quilt in oriental fabric (black, white and red)and it was truly eye catching.

    Traditional block updated

Posted by Mary Furber on 23rd Apr 2012

I purchased this program to make a batik version of the traditional Dresden Plate block. I used a black background with bright batiks and it is wonderful. I’ve also made a table runner with traditional 1930s fabrics. Another great program from HoopSisters!
